Pro tools comes with so many different plug ins and i can only get a few to actually work. Im okay with this but there is one that i want. So i installed digidesign xpand! but i have no idea how to actually find it on pro tools. Where do i need to look? And for the future where do i go to actually use a downladed plug in?

The installation should place in the appropriate folder. After that you need to load it either on an Instrument Track or an AUX (in which case you need to select the output for a MIDI track to correspond with the Xpand! channel). To insert it you choose one of the effects slots and choose Xpand! from the "Instrument" section (towards the bottom of the pulldown menu). That's it.
