i'm kinda interested in tthe d sonic and i have heard it a little bit, but i'm not sure how well it can play heavy metal that sounds like metallica or avenged sevenfold or even trivium. i know petrucci uses it, but i am not that familiar with his work or dream theater's and was just wondering how heavy the d sonic could get.

It is a very tight focused midrange with even highs and tight lows. Very solid hot pickup. I have the D sonic and it covers basically every genre well.

the d-sonic can get really heavy with lots of gain although it stays focused and clear if you don't push it. It's sounds great with a Evolution in the neck.

It pairs good with Air Norton as well.

But thats personal preferance

EDIT: Is this not the second D-sonic thread weve both replyed to in the last week?
