I did a search and didn't come up with much. Any songs that metal bands cover from other genres? For example: Children of Bodom covering Britney Spears or Rihanna. These songs don't have to be released either so covers you've seen done live count too.
#2
We had a thread similar to this a while back, unless I'm much mistaken.

Deicide covering Black Night (Knight?).
#3
Xentrix covering the Ghostbusters theme in a most thrashtastic manner.
The DNA results show that Jeremy Kyle is a nob.

Between the Buried and me did a whole album of covers, "The Anatomy of". They cover everything from Queen to Metallica and Pantera, i actually like their version of Blackened better than Metallica's.

And Children of Bodom covered Dont Stop Believing at Gigantour, it was golden

And not quite metal, but Converge covered Disintegration by the Cure.

Children of Bodom covered 'Don't Stop Believing' by Journey when I saw them in June, it was great. Also, when I saw Trivium a couple of years back they covered 'Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)' by Green Day. Firewind recorded a cover of 'Maniac' too, that was brilliant. Megadeth covered 'Out on the Tiles' by Led Zeppelin, it's on the special edition of United Abominations I think.

once the comedy wears off (which will take two listens at MOST) you're left with absolute ****. then again, i probably shouldn't talk, seeing as i helped write Glam Angel 666. and yes, there's stuff that's much worse than the completed songs. lol.

Awww I was gonna say Blind Guardian next...But that Mr. Sandman cover was the best i've heard...My favorite cover easily.

It's already been said, but Ten Masked Men also. Honestly, they've covered pretty much everything within the pop domain.

There are 4.

1. Killswitch aren't allowed in the metal forum.
2. It's Dio.
3. Killswitch Engage should never cover REAL metal.
4. Because Killswitch, a non-metal band, are covering a metal song, that goes against this entire thread.

Now, back on topic. Cradle Of Filth's cover of Sleepless by Anathema was incredible! I don't really consider Anathema metal (or at least what I've heard) but feel free to let me know if they have any really heavy material.
