Does anyone own this book? I recently bought it, and it seems to cover everything there is to know about scales, chords, the fretboard, etc.

The only problem I have with it is that it has a heavy emphasis on relative and absolute pitch, whereas the examples build off of being able to hear different pitches in different scales.

For people like me who have a hard time hearing pitch, the book seems to be way too complex because of its dedication toward ear training.

If anyone else owns the book, or knows of a good way to start learning how to play (scales, chords, everything) please let me know. If there is a way to still use the book without using the ear training method, I'm all ears.

Thanks.
