What do you guys think of the BOSS OD-20 distortion pedal as the main distortion pedal running through my Fender Deluxe 40 watt valve amp regarding sound quality?
Thanks.

I haven played it put knowing it from Boss there's probly a better pedal out there for you, namely a digitech hardwire.

They have a distortion pedal to, but the Tube overdrive is by far way better.

And you can get pretty damn heavy with it paired up with an HRD, trust me everytime i go to GC all i play trough is an HRD and the CM-2.

If you feel you need a distortion to go along with it a metal muff from elctro harmonix is is ****ing sweet.

heres a link to that pedal.

hmm. Do you like emulation?

Its ironic that you're using a Fender product. I recall their slogan for their amps is "Innovation, not emulation."

But if that doesn't bother you, and if you play a wide variety of genres, i think it would be a good experiment.

depends - what do you want it for?

I personally would rather a DS-1.

[Generic Response]Just get a Fulltone Fulldrive or an OCD.[/Generic Response]

Boss' COSM system does some things quite well, distortion isn't one of them.

is the OD on the Fulldrive like the one on the OCD.

Playing both id take the Hardwire any day.

If not then try both of them out.

It's nice that the reviewer always uses the same amp for the demos.

HHMMM

The OCD is definately more transparent and organic sounding.

Any other opinions.

Anyone actually played both.

I dont know, i know the guys a pro and all but to me, the mosfet wasnt all that much better playing the pedals side by side.

In my opinion hes using the pedal in a crude way, just using the Hi and lo knobs at the same level as one another, its not a frieken tone knob theres better ways to use this pedal.
