I'm a total beginner and found this guitar for $120. How is it for the price?

get something a little bit better... maybe a yamaha

you may quite possibly have all kinds of problem (action, frets, neck build etc) with a low end epiphone like that.

Well the thing is I have no experience with guitar whatsoever and friends of mine told me to go cheap when first learning. They said that if I eventually wanted to continue with it, I will be getting a better guitar later anyway. If it doesn't work out for me, I'm only out that first small investment.

epiphone is great for the money bro, if this is short term go for it.

i actually just bought one for my girlfriend for christmas about 2 weeks ago, the action isnt high and the string that come with it are decent and natural finish ($99) looks amazing. It sounds great, especially for the price. It's a great guitar for beginners. Also the neck is very thin too, which is very good.

Alright I ordered it in sunburst, couldn't find it for lower than $120 though.
