http://www.guitarpartsdepot.com/Floyd_Rose_Licensed-Tremolos-1.html

Floyd Rose Specials are essentially Official Licensed Floyd Roses. Don't bother, they're worse than some Licensed Floyds. Just pay full price for a Schaller OFR or get a Jackson LFR if you're feeling cheap.

EDIT: Gotoh Floyds are great too as that guy who posted after me said.

yes i understand that. BUT, it says FLOYD ROSE on it. floyd knows quality. im sure he wouldnt let some1 stamp his name into a P.O.S. trem. now has any1 ACTUALY TRIED these trems. i want facts not opinions. im not trying to be cheap, but if i can get a nice quality LFR for the price of a ****y one thats just smart.

For someone with Floyd-Rose know-it-all in their name, you dont know that much.
They have Floyd Rose on them because Floyd Rose gets money to let them put it on there. He doesnt care if they suck cos he's getting paid for the licence.

this is the first time ive ever heard of a floyd rose special. ive heard of and used almost all other LFRs and OFRs. edges, pro's, trs's, you name it ive used it at least once. im just not so sure about this one. it seems almost too good to be true. and im starting to think it is.

i smell friggin' dirty ass troll afoot. either that or it's complete IGNORANCE.

listen, fool, you CAN'T get a good quality trem for that low of a price unless:

a) you're buying used from a generous person
b) you have a VERY generous friend who doesn't need his anymore
c) you gave the seller a generous 'service' in addition to paying with cash

now if you want to argue more just b/c we know what we're talking about, reporting will ensue.

no need to apologize, just don't sound so arrogant in posts and you won't have to worry about annoying people.

You want any FR to be made of steel (esp. saddles!) There are good quality Licensed Floyds out there, but most are made of crappy, softer metal.

^ Exactly. Not sure about zinc, however. Haven't knowingly played a trem made out of it.
