ok, so my buddy wants an acoustic electric bass for christmas. and since his parents cant use searchbar, its my job to find them one to get him. i found three that i liked, all cheap, but idk much about them. I read all availible reviews, but i want your input, as well as any other bass that would be good for him.

he wants one loud enough to hold its own with an acoustic, good tone plugged and unplugged, and just an overall reliable bass. hes been playing for three years so hes pretty good, and it cant be over 300, 350 at the most

I'm not gonna lie, the only acoustic bass I've played that was any good was quite a bit more expensive than that.

I don't see any of them being very good. But here's my input on the three.

Rogue is complete ****. Don't buy any of their products.

The last one is fretless. Does your friend want a fretless bass?

Get this one

ideally, yes he wants fretless. but ideally he wants a six string. thats not happening. we'll take what we can make work.

Then get the fretless.

I've tried a fretless acoustic before. It was a different brand so I don't know how it compares, but it sounded pretty bad, kind of empty.

I have an acoustic-electric from Ibanez and I really like it. It cost about $380.

Fretless acoustics aren't that good-sounding form what I hear...the MK I played seemed alright though.

Why does he want an acoustic?

Out of those, the Dean has the best design. It has a nice large body and should be much louder than the other two.
Nope, no sig here.
