Rules: You can only pick ONE guitarist of ANY band.
Can only teach you one song.

Questions: Who would it be and why?
And if they only knew there material, and NO THEORY OR TABS of said song, Could You learn it?
#3
If I could be taught by any guitarist of my choice, I wouldn't.

I play guitar fine. I rather learn piano.

Piano played right is really touching and I LOVE IT!

(I like guitar better though, a good guitarist touchs me more then a pianist)
((Don't take the touching thing the right way))

I'd like drum lessons from Brann Dailor...although, I think it would just end up with him telling jokes the entire time and me not learning anything...still, I could say I learned drums from Brann-fucking-Dailor
#9
John Petrucci maybe, but i don't know what song. Something cool, maybe Dark Eternal Night, IDK.

Don't take it the right way?

Sorry. I totally read that as "a good guitarist touches more than my penis"...

Tom Morello.

EDIT: Knowing that I could cheat on the instrument, I'd love a personal lesson from Billy Joel. I can already play piano, but some personal time with him would help me tons.

Robert Johnson Or John Lee Hooker

Greatest blues players EVER

If anyone hasn't heard it check out Clapton's first album "Me and Mr. Johnson"

Robert Johnson had a huge influence on Clapton I'm pretty sure Robert Johnson actually taught Clapton to play in some kind of way.

easy. I've actually thought about this, oddly enough. myles kennedy from alter bridge. he was teaching guitar out in spokane, WA, where he's from, before mark tremonti called him for AB. I bought mark's dvd and myles does a guest lesson on it. I just got the sense from that lesson that he's a phenomenal teacher and would love to take lessons from him.
#22
I've already attended a workshop featuring Don Ross and Antoine Dufour...that was amazing. My tops would be Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa, Warren Haynes, Gordie Johnson, John Mayer, Mike Einziger, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez...I'm only halfway down my iTunes...there's so much to learn from these people, you soak in information by osmosis. It's fantastic.

Myles Kennedy is such a bad ass dude. AB's new album is so bitching.

Zakk Wylde probably.
Or MAB.
Or Paul Gilbert.
Or Buckethead.

How hasn't anyone mentioned these guys yet?! Well, except Paul Gilbert.
#26
Wait. . . any guitar player, but they can ONLY teach me one song, and no theory or anything?
Forget that. I'll teach the song to myself.

Admittedly, Zakk isn't as elaborate as other guitarist's but the emotion and **** he puts in his solos is pretty intense.

Dave Mustaine, and I'd have teach me Holy Wars/The Mechanix, at the speed it's played live.

He's only going to show you how to play the riff and then tell you to go practise it, walk out of the room and pass you off as just another fan.

Dave Mustaine. Or anyone of the big 4, actually.
