I'm looking to buy a chorus pedal, as close to the sound of a Roland Jazz Chorus amp as possible. I'll be using it through a Vox Valvetronix.

The clean tone in the intro of that is the sort of chorus sound I am looking for.

The Small clone is really really nice, dunno how close to the Roland Jazz Chorus it is, but it's an awesome pedal!

For the cult Jazz Chorus sound take a look at BOSS CE-1 (rare and expensive) and BOSS CE-2 (cheaper but also good). I have the latter and it's great for a chorus pedal, though completely different sounding than ie. Small Clone. I was considering Small Clone too, but I found an auction with the CE-2 so I bought it and I'm totally satisfied.

On the other hand, I'm no chorus connoisseur.

Yeah, the CE-1 and CE-2 are orgasmic. It's worth looking for a CE-2 on Ebay.

Or a Small Clone, which didn't really impress me.
