For Christmas this year, I have put in the request for a Fender Blues Junior Tube amp, and a Vox Wah pedal. If you can't tell already, I like to play mostly blues and rock music

Anyways, what I was really wondering was what kind of distortion pedal to get. I don't want anything too heavy, but I do want a good distortion pedal that would work for Jimi Hendrix, SRV, and more distorted songs of that genre.

If anyone would be able to help me out, I'd be very appreciative.

Oh, and I'm trying not to drain my parents of money, because between the Wah and Tube amp (which I am positive I am going to be getting), that's already around five hundred dollars

well, i think the blues jr should be able to do Hendrix and SRV, but a Ts9 would be a nice pedal for you.

Yea, the Blues Jr. should pull off that bluesy rock tone by itself - but a Tubescreamer of sorts would only compliment the amp and help pull off that tone with ease.
