This is on the pit because nowhere else ever gets any answers

I found this problem while playing Carousel by Blink - 182

When I had to stretch my pinky to hit frets on my bass, I somehow dislocated the end of my little finger. This has happened about 12 times now. It kills to pop it back in but wtf else can I do?

Does this happen to anyone else (guitarists aswell) and does anyone know of any solution or pinky support sort of thing?

Thankyou, Pit.

I know it might take awhile to get an answer but it usually pays off. There are people in that forum that really know what they're talking about, so you should really go there.

try tilting your bass forwards a bit- It gives you greater reach even if it means you can't see the frets- trust me on this I play a song with a stretch lick that goes from fret 6 -> 9 -> 12 all hammer ons
