Mine matches the natural finish on my guitar, I like it but it would look ugly on say a red guitar. So nay nay with some exceptions.

I always thought they cheapened the look of the guitar, kinda toyish.

I love seeing the beauty of the neck woods.

Depends on the shape of the headstock, the shape of the boy, the finish of the body, the type of wood and colour of inlays on the fretboard...
Yes, I know everything. No, I can't play worth a damn.

The matching headstock only enhances the sexy-ness

I say nay because It all depends on the guitar and shape of the HS. I hate natural finish on a maple necks HS I also hate maple fret boards too so....

I think the HS should all be black most of the time. Then depending on the color of the body some guitars look good with a matching HS some don't. It really is a case by case decision. Most Gibsons have a black HS with whatever inlays they decide to put on them depending on the model and I always liked that. I don't think I ever came across many Jacksons or Ibanez guitars that don't have a black background on their HS.

With Fender they leave most of their HS plain maple and IMHO the shape s*cks especially on Strats and Teles and I think it's part of why I think they are cheap looking. Now I think the Fender Jaguar pictured is nice it's a great playing guitar and its a great looking guitar and the HS doesn't look as ugly as other Fender because of the dark fret board and HS because they paint it black.
