So basically I have a b-52 at-212 combo.

And its heavy as feck. Is it possible to take out the chassis and build my own head and speaker mock up from scratch out of plywood or what not?

If so what would I really have to do to make it work?

Because I think I should swap out the tubes and the speakers to some warehouse 30's soon.

thats a nice combo, i wouldn't. the head has most of the weight, i dont know if you've ever lifted an at-100 head, its heavy as **** as well. i would leave it, those are birch ply with good speakers and good corner joints.

I just thought that maybe I could do this because if I started doing band practice I would only need to trek around with the head and not the whole thing.
