Ok i've really been needing a distortion pedal or my guitar. I've been looking at the digitech hot head but I want something a little more crunchy and with more distotion. Does anyone have any suggestions?

oh ya and i play a gibson flying v on a fender twin amp

What type of music are you looking to play? To be honest if you're looking for a godly death metal tone I don't think you'll find it.

Try the following:

AMT Du Hast
Blackstar HT series
Hughes and Kettner Tube Factor
Fulltone OCD
Pro Co RAT
Carl Martin Plexitone
DigiTech Hardwire CM-2
Vox Satchurator
Ibanez Jemini

All of those should be great.

I suggest a Boss Ds-1. I have 1 and I love it. You can get a little crunch and some metal. It is simple 2 use and it is the cheapest pedal by boss and it rocks. It is built like a rock like most boss products and will probably not break. I rely on this thing for my distortion needs 110%. Except that I recommend you buy a lot of 9 volt batteries or an adaptor because the pedal eats up batteries very quickly.

Hmm... I'd boost your budget and get a Fulltone OCD.
If you can't, that Digitech Hardwire CM2 sounds good.
