Stop Actin' Strange

Drive up to meet me-
on the corner of the street.
Tell me your name-
and what you got to eat.
Make me believe-
in what you got.
Or you can forget about me.

I see you marchin' in
With every step you
make me grin
You come a little closer
but still so far.

You're just another person
who drives me mad.
You're just the kind of person
that makes me glad.
Just say the word
to make me change,
And I'll go from
red to blue
And stop actin' strange.

You're just another person
who drives me mad.
You're just the kind of person
that makes me glad.
Just say the word
to make me change,
And I'll go from
red to blue
And stop actin' strange.

this feels a little out of place and really forced...
Make me believe-
in what you got.
Or you can forget about me.

I see you marchin' in
With every step you
make me grin
sounds weak...
You come a little closer
but still so far.

You're just another person
who drives me mad.
You're just the kind of person
that makes me glad.
another weak/forced line
Just say the word
to make me change,
And I'll go from
red to blue
not to fond of this comparison...
And stop actin' strange.

You're just another person
who drives me mad.
You're just the kind of person
that makes me glad.
Just say the word
to make me change,
And I'll go from
red to blue
And stop actin' strange.

its not bad. it does need some work though. a couple of lines in there really sounded like you were just trying to fit the rhyme pattern and that causes you to lose a lot of you power. i think if you go back and reword some of those lines it will end up making this a bit better.
