your dumb they dont exist thats why theyre called vowels
the reason its sometimes y is because with words with no a e i o or u there will ALWAYS be a y
unless its abbreviated

but i before e except after c?
what about foreign, or reign in general

Y is a vowel in rhythm. Y is a vowel whenever it makes a long e sound or a short i sound.

More evidence to my "Every good burn can be countered by a better burn" theory. I should do my thesis on this when I get to university.

^ I believe that "pwnd" is an abbreviation of the word "Powned", which has two vowels and is of greek-italian origin. Great try though!

Actually, that's not true. In Standard English, or the 'Queen's English', there are only 5 vowel letters, regardless of how many vowel phonetics there are, thus making the word 'Syzygy' the longest word in the english language with no vowels. Why exactly an obscure astronomical term is recognised over a more standard word like 'Rhythm' i don't know. Possibly because it's also the highest scoring word in the game 'Scrabble' without any vowels.

Unfortunately, pluralisations are never counted as longer words. Why, i don't know, but it does seem rather a lot like cheating.
