a couple of questions about the Marshall Valvestate 8080v

1)is the amp good for gigs and recording?
2)does it go well with the Boss ME 50?
3)i dont see any valves at the back of the amp does it have valves?
4)if yes, do they need replacing?
5)the amp crackles a bit so in a music store they told me to remove the knobs and clean them, should i do this?
6)how do i do this?

thanks

It's not a tube amp. For a solid state, it's pretty mediocre. If I were you I wouldn't bother buying it.

I believe its a hybrid, so basically its solid state except for a single tube in its circuitry that doesn't really improve its sound

it isn't really great, it's better than the MG but still in that price range get a tube combo, but if you really want to, i think when you play it with the boss ME-50 it will sound decent. if you are using the distortion models on the pedal.

1) probably not
2) probably a wiring problem or something
3) take it to a tech
4) cuz its a hybrid amp

also in bedroom i turn all the gain and OD volume on full and the master volume on like 2 and the amp starts screaming.
is this beacuse its in a small area and there a lot ofr wires around?

dont peg your gain.

and btw, i dont know why your letting other people decide whether you like your amp, which you'e already bought. plug into it, mess around with all the settings, and try and find something good.

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.
