Ok, so if this is the wrong forum, sorry <_<

But anyways, on my cheap first act, (it was my first guitar ), the wires to the audio jack somehow cae un sautered. (sp) I was wondering how I fix it, like do I just resauter it?

For right now I just have the wires kind of twisted around the contacts, and it kinda works, but only to a certain extent.

Help is appreciated

if that is the problem then re-soldering the contact would be the best bet. if you're new to soldering, do a couple of practice solders to get the hang of it before putting the molten metal in your guitar.

The only way to fix this is to solder the wires back where they came from. If you don't know how to solder, then my suggestion is to take it to a guitar store with an on-site guitar tech, or go to Radio Shack and purchase a cheap soldering iron, some solder and fix it yourself. I'm a strong proponent of doing it yourself, because not only does it save money, but you learn how to do something on your own. If you decide to do it yourself, just Google "how to solder" and you should find several sites.

Yes. The wire should lead from the volume pot. One of the wires should be connected to the middle lug on the pot. This wire needs to be attached to the prong on the jack that is connected to the tip of the jack. The other wire, which should be soldered to the back of the pot (along with one of the outside lugs) needs to be soldered to the other prong on the jack.
