Tomorrow I am buying a standard Fender P Bass for 150$

Its too good of a deal to let slip away, and I am wondering what parts I can buy to make the bass even better with the money I'm saving.

Please tell any possibilities, thanks

Badass II Bridge, some stainless steel strings.

I wouldn't go as far as new pickups or tuners...

Is there such a thing as a heavy riff with out chugging on the e string?

Its from a guy in a local band here, he doesnt use it so hes helping me out by selling it to me.

Ive never understood, how can a bridge help a bass?

I know I sound stupid, but it never made much sense to me.

What are some good pickups for this bass?

Why would you spend tens of thousands of dollars to learn about a language you already speak? It was over before it even started dude

Badass Bridge and SD pickups. EMG does make split humbuckers--not too fond of the sound, though.

Not sure about this but doesn't fender put badass bridges in their new basses now anyway?

The Highway Ones, yeah.

Sadly, I was the threatened.

If you don't want to file down your saddles like you have to do with a Badass, get a Gotoh 201 bridge. It's just as good, come pre-filed, and costs about half as much. As far as pickups, I can't recommend the SPB-3 (duncan quarter pounders) highly enough.
Telecaster - SG - Jaguar
Princeton Reverb, Extra Reverb
P-Bass - Mustang Bass
Apogee Duet 2 - Ableton Suite

You can get Badass II bridges pre-filed too, that's how i got mine

Hipshot D-Tuner extender key, new paintjob, new pickguard, humbucker

For a P-bass pup I've heard only good things about the Bartolini 8S, I plan on using one when I make my own P-bass.
I'm a Fire, and I'll Burn.Burn.Burn.

personally, i'd just work on learning how to play it before doing a bunch of mods.
the stock P sounds just fine as it is. just my 2 cents, keep the change.

I have a MIM P-bass. I slapped a BadAss II on it, and threw some Quarter Pounders in it. It's actually a pretty sweet bass now.

Wow I wish i could get my hands on a P-Bass for 150 dollars.

I wouldn't even mind getting one for 150 pounds!

As for the upgrades I would whack a load of pickups in it and mess around with the electronics to get lots of different combinations.

Theres also the option of shimming the neck for the Badasses. But I actually didnt have to a single thing to my Badass II on my MIM P bass.
This is my Signature.
