Metallica - One

I don't think there is any sweeping in it, but I might be wrong.

Learn a pantera song, they're all your basics of metal, and they're fun for one guitar to play to!!

Just another star - Bullet for My Valentine, Most of their songs don't have sweeping, but alot of tapping, their songs take a day at most to learn with the solos :P

Disposable Heroes - Metallica. It will really get your rythm tight, just remember to start out slow.

Back in the Day - Megadeth. It will work your rythm, but unlike most metallica rythms, you use upstrokes too here
