So im thinking of buying the M-Audio DMP3 2-Channel Mic Pre/Direct Box( http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/MAudio-DMP3-2Channel-Mic-PreDirect-Box?sku=241101) and the M-Audio ProFire 610 FireWire Recording Interface( http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/MAudio-ProFire-610-Firewire-Recording-Interface?sku=247046 ) so that I can record guitar and vocals. If any of you have used these let me know how they are and if there is any thing better out there for the prices.

P.S. thinking of downloading AmpliTube 2 is it worth the time?

I have an m-audio interface (firewire solo). it works fine, I think it is a simpler version of what youre looking at. And yeah, amplitube is awesome. I prefer it over Guitar Rig.

I am not a recording professional or anything, but I know when something sounds good.

Fender American Special Tele
Gibson ES-339
