Hi im not sure if this thread has been made but i tried the search bar and it came back with nothing.
As most Aussies would know today was the day students get the Enter scores. Im curious if there is any other past year 12's in the pit. and who is the smartest.
I got 72.6
#2
Who is the smartest?
You're lucky I'm not an aussie otherwise it'd be me.

The rest you have got a fighting chance without me in the picture.

I got 97.3 in my TEE (in WA), doing English, Geography, Applicable Maths, Calculus, Physics and Chemistry.

In Physics, I sat next to a guy that got 99.95 and came 5th in the state. Also, my one of my best friend's older brother won the Beazley Medal (came top in Western Australia).

Edit: Alright, I'm top at the moment! Having said that, once you're in uni, it really doesn't matter. At best, it's a conversation topic.

Um, I only finished Grade 11 this year but so far I got a score of 33.1 to go on my TCE (18.6 for AAP and 14.5 for English Communications). For Grade 12, I'm doing Japanese, English Writing, Art Appreciation and Psychology (all 5C)... and yes, very random subjects I know... hope I do well.

So everyone knows someone who knows someone's brother who did really well, but do we have any people in here who are actually smartasses themselves?

My UAI was 97.6 in 2006. There must be someone who can beat the pants off that.

VCE isn't important at all. Don't stress.

I got 87.07, and am doing what I want to do at uni. I know people who got 50s and are in the same course (needed an 83).

edit: And it isn't a measure of your intelligence either. I know some complete dumb cunts that got 90s and some really smart people that got in the 70s. The whole system is stupid.

Realistically, you don't need to be naturally smart to get a high enter, you just need to work hard.

I need a 96 to get into the course I want after next year (Journalism and RMIT), and that's definately achievable if I work hard. My school did fairly well this year with their grades (huzzah for poncy rich private school), so I think I have a fair shot at getting a first round offer where I want to go after next year.

I agree with the system being stupid though.

Snot foster, even if you don't get 96 you can still get into that course eventually. Even if you have to transfer to another one. I'm at RMIT at the moment (small world aye?) and I got accepted into a course that needed a 97 :| I decided against it in the end though.

Nothing has come in the mail or anything.

Fucking good grade, by the way . I think I'll be getting somewhere around 10 I was a lazy bastard these last two years.

I signed up to this QSA smart op thingy. It lets you access your results online (but you had to register yonks back).

Hey don't worry bout the grade man, my sister did pretty bad, but she did really well at uni and now her OP equivalent if she wanted to change courses would be 1.

Myself, I plan to barely pass in Uni because that's all you need to do

Ahh, I was gonna sign up to that but I lost that 14 digit number (The one that started with 07-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX).

What did your sister get? I'm thinking of doing a TAFE course that raises my OP to a 5 or something like that. I hope I get something good enough to get into uni, barely passing was all I did the last two years (C+ all round, pretty much) so I think I'm pretty good at it by now .
