Dunno if i should post this in the pit but I was thinking of turning a garage into a hangout place/music room and all the instruments in the garage will be very basic stuff no very expensive budget. Maybe u can mention any entry level keyboards, drums, microphones, mixers etc... Thanks in advance

Your gonna need a high ish budget to get all that stuff.

Mic wise you would need nstrument mics for the amps, probably 1 overhead room mic for the drums *(rather than the 7+ individuals) and a vocal mic.

If thats what you wanted to.

i assume so with the mixer.

That would be awful for the acoustics of the room, though.

Drums: http://www.thomann.de/gb/mapex_q_serie_standard_set_bl.htm (the cheaper kits are either ridiculously bad or have strange things like 16'' bass drums)

Bass: http://www.thomann.de/gb/fender_squier_vint_mod_jazz_nt.htm (can't go wrong with a vm jazz bass). http://www.thomann.de/gb/ashdown_t15180s.htm (reliable amp+loud enough to jam with drums)

Guitar: http://www.thomann.de/gb/epiphone_lp_studio_worn_brown.htm (depends on taste but you cant really go wrong with an Epi LP). http://www.thomann.de/gb/blackheart_handsome_devil_combo_bh15_112.htm (Better than a Line 6 Spider)

Keyboard: Not really sure as don't know much about them

it does lol. thats why they also sell sound insulation. also helps if it is cold. also will help if anything is spilled. also will help if anyone happens to drop an instrument.

Can't I just buy a vocal mic only? im not planning on starting a recording company for now so should i need all those mics?

you dont NEED all those mics, but it'd be better. a mic for each amp, and for the drum kit, + vocalist mic, and a cheap PA system of course would be a real good idea though. It just makes everything allot better.

Bass + Bass Amp
Drum Kit (No Mics)
Keyboards
PA System

Mixer - Connect the Vocal mic via mixer and output sound through PA
