So for Christmas, I'm thinking about asking for a delay pedal. I play mainly Classic Rock, if that matters.

The choices are between a MXR Carbon Copy, or a Boss DD-3

And don't worry, I'm getting a new amp after Christmas with the money i save

Carbon Copy, you might lose some novelty features, but you get that rich analog quality

I'm in the middle of exactly the same thing, I play everything from hard rock to Explosions in the Sky style stuff.
I'm deciding between the deluxe memory man with hazarai, and the carbon copy.
Any advice?

Alright, I'm about 95% sure I'm going to get that
Any more suggestions/comments?/

I traded my Carbon Copy in on the new Digitech Hardwire Delay pedal and never looked back. I like it MUCH better. It even has an analog setting and sounds damn good.

carbon copy b/c
you're playing classic rock, which generally does not demand all those extra features and ****. The only reason I'm going digital is so I can have reverse delay and tap tempo. Otherwise i'd kill for a carbon copy
