Well I'm a shred metal/head, my friend is a blues guy.. I get a Fender Superchamp XD as an amp, and he gets a Roland 30X. We did a little trade-off temporarily and I love the tone I can get out of this amp. Much better metal tone than my Fender tube amp *big suprise* Anyways, you think he'll trade amps with me? The Fender is worth a little more, and is more suited to his style. What do you guys think

he'll go for it, but i think it would be smarter to sell the fender and buy an even better amp.

The Superchamp XD isn't a tube amp, its a hybrid.

Have you tried it with a few good OD/Distortion pedals in front of it? You won't get metal tones from a Fender without some major help.

uhh yah it is. it just has 'preamp voicings'..
Only thing I've tried with it was my BOSS GT-6 and didnt like any of the tones except the cleans and light distortions.
