bad amp....bad, bad, bad, SUPER BAD amp...avoid the badness.
if you didnt catch it, it's a really bad amp. The cleans are even weak...when did you hear a solid state not have much cleans?

i wouldnt recommend it

edit: i see you have 3 decent guitars and want 3 more decent guitars.

my suggestion: STOP BUYING GUITARS and get a tube amp. your line6 spider III does not do them justice

try a tube combo.

a) experience*
b) style you play?
c) price range?
d) probably better off with a small tube amp than a large solid state amp
e) GG&A, not Electric Guitar

to be honest, you won't do any guitar justice with a $300 amp. My suggestion is sell one (or two) of you guitars and add that to your amp fund. Then keep saving until you get around $600. Then get a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe or a Peavey Classic 30. If you can't do that, then save up about $100 more and get a Peavey Valveking. That should do modern rock okay.
#15
a peavey valveking wouldnt be good for blues or classic rock. try a peavey classic 30 or a fender hot rod deville. a fender blues junior would also work if you're on a budget. just google any of em.

I disagree. They have enough gain stock to do classic rock with ease (in the low gain input, mind you) and with the gain at about three or four you get a nice bluesy breakup. It's AC/DC in a box with the clean volume at 10, too. A Classic 30, stock, would be a better choice if one is only doing these genres though.

After my speaker swap + overdrive + equalizer purchase, I'd readily stack my VK up against amps twice its normal cost.

valveking is more suited to metal, id try a hotrod deville, peavey classic 30, or a blues junior.

Metal? I wouldn't play metal on a Valveking unless I had the worlds best EQ and OD plugged into it.

Classic 30 would be a better option IMO for those styles, add an OD like a Tubescreamer, SD1 or Bad Monkey for higher gain stuff.

The Vypyr is good, I love the sounds from that, I can't wait to get my 75... but for the purposes of this thread, I'd personally lean towards a tube combo.

If you still want to spend only 300 get a VOX AD30VT for 250 and buy a rajin cajun speaker for it. The speaker is 60. That's 300 and it will sound like a 5-600$ amp. IMO.
