Hey.
I've been playing guitar for about a year now and want to start leaning towards more heavier songs. So does anyone have any suggestions about some of the easier/possibly even intermediate level metal songs? I'm into mostly newer stuff, not Metallica. Anything like Lamb of God, Atreyu, Parkway Drive, All that Remains or what ever. I really want to improve my guitar skills (especially fast tremolo picking) and believe i can do so with some metal.

Any suggestions?

Try Hourglass by Lamb of God.
Six by All That Remains.
Also Ruin by Lamb of God, Omerta as well that's waaayyy easier than all those songs I listed.
Jackson King V KVX10
Line 6 Spider III 75 W.
Peavey 5150/6505 Combo to be owned at the end of 2010.

Enter Sandman, War Pigs, and B.Y.O.B are some pretty easy metal songs.

EDIT: War Pigs isn't that heavy but it is still good.
