What's your favorite brand of strings? Feel free to discuss this. I'm sure this has been done a million times, but I couldn't find anything with the (in)famous searchbar

My vote is for DR Strings

I've always liked D'Addario lights.I've tried several other brands and they just didn't have that "feel" to them I guess.

I just put DR 10-52s on my guitar, and I like them so far, so I think I'll go with DR again in the future.

Ernie Ball. I've tried every other common brand and EBs definitely feel and sound the best, not to mention seem to last the longest.

... Well... not quite. Gibson's strings are actually better I find, especially the Vintage Reissue line, but they cost twice as much as a set of EBs here. I use Gibson Vintage Reissue strings on my VOS Custom Shop Gibson, but every other guitar gets EBs.
Yes, I know everything. No, I can't play worth a damn.

rotosound pure nickels 10-46,

they last me longer ( i can kill nickel plated steel strings with tarnish in under an hour) and a like the way they sound on my les paul.

For some reason I still use earnie ball 10s on my strat, and I'm actually now starting to wonder why.......

Now I remember, it's cos the single coils dont handle the pure nickels so well

This raises a question, can 10-52 gauge strings handle up to say.. Drop C tuning?

I play pretty much in Standard and Drop D right now, but some of the songs I want to learn are Drop C and dont sound quite right in Drop D. =p
