Hi, Im looking into an amp for a friend around the 400$USD range.

The amp can be tube or solid state but must be able to be heard in front of a crowd of about 200.

It will be used mainly for pop-punk if that matters, thanks for the help.

I will go used.

I would go for a Cube 60. If you're adventurous, a Blackheart Little Giant and an MI Audio
Crunch Box is also a good bet.

For 400$ you're not going to get much of a gigging amp, but those two options should work well.

used Classic 30 or Blues Jr maybe depending on the punk.

Anyway, you get the ideal.

A decent lowish gain tube amp should do you fine. Most pop punk players use fairly British sounding amps so maybe a crate V or a Classic 30? The windsor could work pretty well too.
