I got a second-hand Ibanez AM73 a while ago with a Gibson case, fitted well, but now that I have got an Ibanez case I was selling the Gibson one, presuming it would fit an ES335. So now the guy I sold it to calls me up it doesn't fit.

Aren't they the same size? They feel the same size to me

(by the way, the case was obviously way to large to fit a Les Paul, and I don't really know any Gibson guitars inbetween an LP and a 335, size wise)

According to google, the 339 is 14 1/8" at the lower bout. Thats slightly smaller than the newer AM's(14 1/2" IIRC).
