Hey,

I guess you could call me a 'part time' guitarist since I am a bassist. I'm going to sell my Epiphone SG-400 to buy something hopefully better for under $400.

I play Jazz and use a Roland Cube-30 (Cheap, I know).
Just keep in mind I'm not planing to go gigging with the guitar or amp for that matter.

I was thinking of trying to find a used Epiphone Dot, but I decided to ask experts first!

Dots are great, I'm saving for one right now. Just make sure you play the one you buy. Great sound, though, and really good to play. Fingerboard on the one i played was like butter.

I like the Ibanez's more than the Epiphone Dot's for jazz. I own an AFS75, that sound great, and plays great. For the $$$ you seem like you get more.

the semi-hollow ibanez's are great value for money.
