"Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton is the most depressing song there is...PERIOD! His young son, Connor (I think about 3-4 years old), accidentally fell out of a Manhattan window, some 40 or 50 floors, to his death. The song deals with his emotional aftermath, and trying to find a way to cope. Ridiculously bittersweet! The music is just as emotional as the lyrics.
