hey, i just got a wah from my friend, and it's pretty old(not vintage old, but ****ty old).
so anyway, when i plugged it in, it didnt wah, but made a voulme swell instead.
its the standard GCB-95 cry baby wah, but its a volume pedal...
wtf? does this happen from wear and tear, or am i using it wrong, or whats going on?
any help???

well, i know if you remove the electrolytic capacitor from a wah, it will act as a volume pedal, so my guess is that the cap in yours isnt working or just isnt there anymore.

Turn the wah pedal on haha.

Put your foot on the front of the pedal and push down to turn the wah on. If its not on, its a volume pedal.

^ no it isnt when its not on its just off and doesnt do anything

as chea said, the cap in it may have gone out or been removed. replacing the capacitor should fix it if thats the only problem.

it might have been modded to be a voume pedal. ask your friend about that.
