on a standard whammy bar bridge.

ive never really thought how much this actually affects the intonation and what not of the strings so i would like to know your thoughts and tips on this, and how i should adjust it.

I believe on a standard bridge you adjust the saddles individually? I could be wrong though

Adjusting intonation isn't a big deal if you have an accurate digital tuner. I check mine everytime I change strings. The tuner I use is a cheap Korg CA-30. It doesn't make it perfect but it's good enough.

i see most guitars, brand new, come with a pattern like so:

-----|
------|
-------|
------|
-------|
--------|

i geuss ill leave it like that, i dont use a whammy (nor do i have the bar) so i tightened it up in the back to keep it tuned better, i suppose i should adjust the bridge so it is higher.
