If you want constructive criticism, take it to a guitar teacher or something.
Internet users in general and Youtube/UG-users especially like to downtalk everyone that is even a bit less skilled than themselves. Of course, there are exceptions to this.

I haven't seen it myself yet, btw.

If it was improvised for the first time is good. BTW what guitar are you using?

It was ok.
It was a bit basic if you understand what I mean. Try adding more licks, and learn the whole thing before posting a vid. Really perfect it. I mean you missed some notes out, and I know you were improvising but those notes are really needed to make it a tight, hard rocking solo; which is what it is! (well supposed to be).

Overall it was quite good. Keep practisin' and you'll get there.

What you played wasn't bad, and if you were just improv'ing most of it, then good job. You left out over half the solo, though, especially the runup to the bend on the 15th. It wasn't bad, but if you leave out that much of the solo, it kind of ruins the effect.

I've got a terrible habit of learning parts of songs rather than the whole thing, one i must address :P

umm you skipped the hard parts. like after it gets fast there are all of these bends and fast pull offs and all. you skipped them all. like you are not even playing half the solo.

the first part untill it gets fast is good.

try not playing along the song but along a backing track or a metronome. sometimes the song playing makes you think you are getting it right.
You guys wanna have some group sex?

No it's ok. I do the same. I learn the main motif for the solos and improvise my way round them. HOWEVER, I don't change the style of the solo, if you get what I mean. For SCoM I still keep it that traditional hard rock style with a tight solo.

I'll see if I can record a video of me playin' it tomorrow and show you what I mean.
