Uhh... playing really fast?

The technique is tremolo picking. In this case he's just pedaling a pentatonic lick very fast.

To do anything Zakk Wylde does is relatively simple in theory... it's a pentatonic scale, learn that in a 3 note per string scale and you can be Zakk... sorta...

No, he's picking each note once. It's an original solo as far as I can make out but you'll need to practice for years to get to that standard.


Anyone else notice how much better he is there compared to now?
