I'm thinking about building some kind of a 2-channel pedal board, but I'm not sure about how to wire it up to get what I want.

I'm basically a livingroom jammer who plays both guitar and bass, and someday I'd like to be able to do some "Open Mic" solo performances. I need a setup that lets me use both a bass and a guitar, each going out to different amps, and with a couple of shared pedals in the mix.

Here's the basic layout:

Bass channel
-> Korg Pitchblack Tuner (SHARED)
-> RC-2 Loop Station (SHARED)
-> Bass amp

Guitar channel
-> Korg Pitchblack Tuner (SHARED)
-> Boss DS-1
-> Boss Blues Pedal
-> EHX Small Clone
-> EXH Deluxe Memory Man
-> RC-2 Loop Station (SHARED)
-> Guitar amp

The only shared components would be the tuner and the RC-2 loop station. If the bass is using the RC-2, then the guitar would bypass it and go out to the amp from the DMM. And if the guitar is using the RC-2, then the bass would go straight to the bass amp from the tuner.

What combination of A/B, A/B/Y or splitter boxes do I need to make this work?

Well, I want the loop at the *end* of the guitar effects chain.

If I'm layering rhythm and lead guitar parts, I need to record them after the effects have been applied to the signal.

I also need both channels to be live at the same time.

Bump. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I've sent mail off to Loop-Master.com, and the owner is chewing over some ideas for this as well.

Basically, I want one board to have two separate but live channels for bass and guitar, with each channel going out to its own amp. There would be a shared tuner at the front of the chain, and a shared RC-2 at the end of the chain. Only 1 channel at a time gets to use the RC-2.
