I have owned so many LPs over the years but I had a mint 1961 Gibson Cherry Les Paul standard (SG shape) with the weird trem they called a sideways vibrato. Serial # 13007. That ws one guitar I wish I never gave up!

That guitar was the absolute best guitar I ever put my hands on or heard. If God himself played guitar this would have been the guitar he chose! LOL

I bought it about 10 or 12 years ago and sold it about 8 years ago for a little over twice what I paid for it. Today they sell between twenty and thirty thousand and in probably ten more years they will be over a hundred grand.

It would be a little pricey but I think its worth it.

Licensed Gibson bridge.................$66

Tail Piece.......................................$60

Jack Plate......................................$8

and all you need is is gold tuners of your choice and maybe gold pickup covers or just leave them open.

Gibson Les Paul Custom in Alpine White
Hell yes. Though I actually sort of prefer the look of the Studio version, the Alpine White finish looks better without binding.

Anyhoo, my picks would be:
- '59 LPs, they're just... go play one and you'll see.
- Gibson LP Goddess. I just wish they'd kept them going longer and they had the full four controls instead of just two.
- '54 Goldtop, with cream P-90s and a wraparound bridge. I usually hate cream on anything anywhere anytime, but it works for this. And wraparound bridges are sex.
Yes, I know everything. No, I can't play worth a damn.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

None of them, they are all the same with different emblems on them and different prices.

well, sorry, any LP older than 20 years old.
