I've been thinking about building a Guitar like Paul Gilbert uses, Exept actually Semi Hollow with the F holes.

My question is, With F holes, where should I put the Controls?

OL LOL LOL.

If you really look at his sig. model, you will notice that the switch and vol. knob on literally ON the f hole. It's a known fact the f holes are stickers under the finish.

I know, I'm making it ACTUALLY Semi hollow, So I can't do that.

sounds interesting. you'll have to relocate the controls though.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

I'd put them just below the F-hole.

Side note: Am I the only one who feels a little uncomfortable typing F-hole?

+1
for below, and feeling uncomfortable

Just below the F-hole would be odd with the wiring, I think...would it?

What if you were to put a Knob in the F-Hole?

Below the F-Hole is the A-Hole by the way...and the P-Hole is above the F-Hole.

The trouble with an F-Hole, is quite often you get a string stuck in there for a bit.
During those times, I find it is best to use the A-Hole.

Theeeeee, P-Hole's connected to the, F-Hole.
The F-Hole's connected to the, A-Hole.
The A-Hole's connected to the, big Knob.

I seldom feel uncomfortable writing anything...

Put them where you can reach them.
