Hi, I have been playing for around a year now for like 4-5 hours a day. I've been playing slow songs lately because I find them relaxing and it's nice to listen to myself play them. Has anyone got any suggestions of any really good slow songs? Preferably not depressing ones but more of the up beat slow song, like Night Drive by Jimmy Eat World and not something like Everybody Hurts by R.E.M.
I can already play:
Hallelujah - Jeff Buckely
Far Away - Nickelback
Fields of Gold - Sting
Wherever You Will Go - The Calling

Any well known songs will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks Much lol

I would totally recomment 'classical gas - eric clapton' youtube it if you dont know it, you can slow it down and it still sounds great, also it will make you a much better play by learning it

Eric Clapton never did it - Mason Williams did. A good number of others covered it, but Eric Clapton never did. For some reason it was put on Youtube as him doing it.

Easter by Prize Fighter Inferno, or Always and Never by Coheed and Cambria are good ones. Macy's Day Parade by Green Day is a good song, but a little depressing.

Yeah I've just checked out Classical Gas on youtube and had a go and it's incredible! It's going to be really hard to get the speed but it also sounds good slowed down, so, thumbs up to Charlie for suggesting that! Thanks and keep 'em coming, bearing in mind I've only been playing a year

If you want check out some of the songs from the final fantasy series, i like the ones from Final Fantasy X the most, 'To Zanarkand' (sometimes called 'At Zanarkand'), id really nice, there's a lot of music in the series so you can pick out the slower ones.

Tommy Emmanuel's 'Those who wait' is a great piece, i would also recommend it, good call for the guy that suggested it earlier.

If you want to go to the fingerpicking route, try Nakagawa-San by Andy McKee.

My cover is in my signature - I have my tab in the video description.

It's a great song. Very slow and soothing! I love it.
