I need some music that makes you envision a dark room illuminated by only candles and perhaps a creepy middle aged man in a bathrobe.

It'll explode.

Which way I fly is Hell; myself am Hell;
And, in the lowest deep, a lower deep
Still threatening to devour me opens wide,
To which the Hell I suffer seems a Heaven.

Its bad for the strings more so than the bass, buy a 6-string set and use the high C, rather than tuning the G all the way up.

You know that a guitar in standard is EADGBE, yes?
I have:
Acoustic B200H+B115 cab, Schecter Stiletto Custom 4, Rondo Fretless, Boss EQ-7.

Some men just want to watch the world burn. And they work at Behringer.

I'm assuming he means like a guitar tuned drop D.

I would advice you to tighten up your trust rod a little to maintain the same action also you might have to file out the nut a little to fit the low B string into the E strings spot.

Maybe he was talking about a guitar in drop D.

A six string bass has a high C instead of B because it's tuned in straight fourths, where as a normal guitar has a B to make it easier to play chords.

Why does a six string bass use a high C string instead of high B like guitar?

So that the same interval is maintained across all the strings, thus you can play the same shapes anywhere. From what I understand, the main purpose for guitars having the major third instead of a fourth is for chordal work, and the sort of chords that need the B would probably sound muddy on a bass anyway.

Dude if i were you i'd look more at bands like Dragonforce, Dragonland, Dream Theatre and Power Quest, most of their songs are either in E major, A major, C major or D majhor
