Are they generally good? And which model would you recommend for classic rock and $100 to $300?
Gear:
Epiphone Archtop Dot
Ibanez RG120
Peavey ValveKing 112
Dunlop Crybaby
Boss Distortion Ds-1
MXR Carbon Copy
Rocktron Banshee Talk box

Oranges are generally great amps, although stay away from the solid state ones.

I'm pretty sure the only thing from orange you can get with that low of a budget is a USED tiny terror head, but then you need to figure out how to get a cab
Peavey 6505+
Fender Hot Rod Deville 410
Fender Telecaster Blacktop
Gretsch G5120

Tiny Terror is perfect for you, i've played classic rock through one and lets just say...

I was tempted to trade in my JCM 800.

Epiphone Les Paul Standard w/ SD Alnico Pro II's
Fender Aerodyne Telecaster & Stratocaster
Marshall JCM 800 4104 combo

you could get the used tiny terror like people are saying, and then save up a bit more and get an avatar 2*12 that should only run about 2-300 as well

Only thing I know about them is that Jim Root of slipknot and stone sour uses an orange amp. He sounds pretty good, so I'm sure the amp is good.

what about school gym ??? gyms are pretty big
i mean without PA cuz not every place has PA

how are there gonna be vocals in the school gym? Oh yea, a PA... problem solved.. anywhere you have vocals will have a PA, and if they don't, you don't have vocals or a guitar.. so yea.

also, you could mod a combo amp you already have to be a cab for a while.. you just cut the leads from the speaker and put a jack on it
My Guitars:
Gibson Les Paul Studio
Epiphone AJ
Ibanez Strat Copy

Amps:
Orange Tiny Terror Head
Old beaten up Peavey cab
Marshall MG30DFX
