Dave Mustaine's used them before, I think, on the Cryptic Writings album.

And Black Stone Cherry use them on both of their records, IIRC.

Exit Ten - Remember the Day

Two quality British metal bands

Otherwise all the ones listen on the website...

Ross Childress of Collective Soul used them a fair bit. Ed Roland does too. Then, there are SCORES of death and heavy metal bands that use them. Ironically, the only thing Ed ever recorded on a 5150 people care about was "Humans Being"

EVH used a 5150 I believe

He uses a 5150 III these days I think. Not quite the same as a regular one

I think TDWP has used them
#7
I use a 6505+, I think that's enough endorsement for you
Lesser artists include In Flames, Machine Head and they're endorsed by Trivium and BFMV too but I doubt they use them
There's a whole artist roster on the Peavey website
ohai little sig.

He does. I saw it with my own eyes.

otherwise, to CJRocker's point, Eddie was a Marshall guy, the whole 5150 thing was just an endoresment deal.

Edit: IbanezPsycho, was that a quick paste or was that from memory

Edit2: Venom Venom (Venom)

Yea right lol......

I know the golden rule of knowledge you dont have to remember everything about a subject as long as you remember were to find it....

One of Aborted's guitar players uses a 5150.

I'm also pretty sure Despised Icon also runs 5150's through Krank cabs.

Michael Amott used to use 5150's in Arch Enemy's older albums.

Gojira use them to amazing results, and SYL use them, or at the very least have used them during the recording of Alien.

BTW, does anyone know if it's possible to make a 6505/6505+ run on KT88 power tubes? And has anyone put something like a 12AT7 in the first and/or last preamp tube slot? I like how 6505s sound but I was thinking with a 12AT7 it'd have a less amount of gain (but still enough to do metal undoubtably), fatter and cleaner sound cuz of the KT88s and more headroom on the cleans. Is that at all possible?
