so im looking for a head that will sound good with a Marshall MC cab, its 16ohms, 120w and fitted with vintage 30 speakers.

i was thinking of maybe a peavey or line 6 or something?

im not looking for an all valve as im 16 and cant really afford the upkeep etc and am not playing more than one gig a month.

so im open to solid state or hybrid amps really

and i dont feel theres any point getting a mg100hdfx as i have the mg50 and can plug that in for the same tone.

im looking for something for lots of different tones, from metal to gary moore distortion but also something suitable for ska.

and i already have the cab so not point flaming it

cheers

there aren't any good SS heads the only thing i could suggest you is a randall or a kustom if you want SS

okay looks like its gonna be valve then
what would you recommend, no more than 5o watts i think cos the biggest place ill play is halls or whatever.
orange amps seem nice, a footswitch is a must for me as i need to switch from clean to dist a lot.
cheers
