So here's the deal. My parents REALLY want to get me something that isn't just a card with money. I figure it could be something guitar related.

My current setup is as follows:

Squier Strat
Digitech Whammy IV
BYOC Delay
Peavey Studio Pro 112

I play a lot of Devin Townsend/SYL.

I have a wah, but I don;t use it and I'm selling it.

What is something else that might help me in that style of music?

Thanks guys.

EDIT: I was thinking of maybe stretching it a little and getting a Line 6 TonePort UX1... Good idea maybe?

maybe try and save for a midrange guitar? with a traded in wah and a few more bucks you can get a nice Epi or a MIM fender..

if you don't mind your guitar, maybe change a pickup or 2
My Guitars:
Gibson Les Paul Studio
Epiphone AJ
Ibanez Strat Copy

Amps:
Orange Tiny Terror Head
Old beaten up Peavey cab
Marshall MG30DFX

That's the thing, I love my guitar and the pickups in it.

I'd look into a used recording interface plus a Shure SM57 microphone. Don't forget the cable.

The Toneport has a great distortion tone but the clean tone sounds terrible. You get a mic if you get it to mike up your Amp or an acoustic guitar,

Also, The SM57 alone is $157.58...

Probably should've said a used SM57 but if it's that expensive I wouldn't bother.

Some suggestions for a good overdrive:

Digitech Hardwire CM-2 or Bad Monkey
Ibanez TS9 or TS808
Fulltone OCD
Maxon OD808

EDIT: If you have enough gain already maybe look into an MXR Phase 90?
