i was thinkin about the Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer. would this pedal be good for metal and Metallica solos? or what pedal should I get for under $100?

what amp you got? a tube screamer will not be able to do metal on its own, but if you have a good amp, you could use it to boost your amp's distortion

spiders sound terrible with pedals. save up for a new amp. trust me, buying a new pedal wont improve your tone at all. stick with the metal channel (the only one i can bear using) until you've saved enough.
