Hi. I don't know if this is posted in the right sub-forum, but here it goes.
I recently tried to install a pair of EMG's in my guitar, a Jackson RR3.
The EMG's are 1 EMG 81 and 1 EMG 85, which I got in a set called Zakk Wylde Set.

I contacted EMG, and they sent me the correct wiring diagram for my guitar:

I've wired it just like this diagram says, but still it won't work.

When I plug my jack in the guitars output, there is no sound signal at all (or so it seems)
But when I pull the plug out a little, then it sends out a sound signal, but its highly distorted. The sound gets even louder if I pull the plug out a little and touch the back of the output, but again it's even more distorted. It's just like if the pickups weren't grounded properly, but the active EMG's aren't supposed to be grounded.

Is there anybody out there who can help me with this?
Anybody who had a similar problem?
What can it be?

Recheck your wiring to the diagram, you must have done something wrong. I had similar issues installing, I still don't know what I did wrong. I just redid it and then it worked.

Well, I've wired it outside of the guitar to look for anything that could be wrong, so it's a real mess and also crappy quality:

The wiring is the same as in the diagram, and there is only one thing that can be the problem as I see it, the green component on the tone is not a 0,1µF (?) capacitor.

Tell me what you think about that.
