Is it possible to use pedals in a recording setup? (an audio interface and DAW) Specifically, a distortion pedal. If so, can anyone name any good distortions for classic rock?

are you micing an amp?

if not then you really should be, then it's perfectly fine to use distortion

Ah ok, in that case you can definitely use a wah. Not sure about stomp boxes..

Why not use the line 6 models?
