i was just offered a 1968 ovation balladeer 1111 that the owner says is an acoustic electric for my epiphone dot studio, idk much about acoustics but is that a good deal?

no keep the epiphone. its better than a oviation acoustic.

Yeah, to me a lot of Ovations aren't deep-sounding enough, anyway. I have a Yamaha APX-500 acoustic-electric, it's like $300, and it sounds awesome.
